Alexander Wang’s mostly white spring show reinforced the minimalist agenda sweeping New York Fashion Week. His chic new restraint heralded a new direction for Wang whose label has risen astoundingly fast on the scene in recent years. Never mind that Helmut Lang and Ann Demeulemeester did this in the 90s, Wang renewed their cause for his own generation of cult followers.
