What I Love About My Sleepy Little Deathtoll Town...

One night I take an impulsive photograph of a guy wearing a hat saying "BOY".The next day I go to O-Day, bump into Claire wearing the same hat and find out he is her brother.

Not Surely, Nicholas Morley

Sure anyone can make a witty political statement and put it on a t-shirt. But no, you can’t blatantly copy House of Holland and get away with it.

Where Have All The Australian Designers Gone?

Australian Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 07/08 commences tomorrow in Sydney with scheduled names including Lisa Ho, Alex Perry, Josh Goot, Camilla and Marc, Jayson Brunsdon, Tina Kalivas, Nicola Finetti and Zambesi.

Most notable however is the high number of designers not showing up to fashion week. Toni Maticevski, Aurelio Costarella and Leona Edminston are redirecting their focus to the already over packed New York Fashion Week. Whilst other particularly absent designers include Scanlan and Theodore, Mad Cortes, Akira Isogawa, Lover, Alannah Hill, sass & bide and Charlie Brown.

Despite the lacklustre line-up, models hitting the runway will include Miranda Kerr, Elyse Taylor and the natural beauty Catherine McNeil, who has already made waves on Milan and Parisian catwalks.

Burlesque queen Dita Von Teese will open the week, no doubt many 40s inspired looks which Tesse is renowned for will be on display in the coming days.

Wasted Magazine Power Issue Launch

The Token Model Cover

Vogue's May edition sees a return to model's on the cover.
It's certainly a nice change from celebrities who have just about reached saturation point in our culture, but it still frustrates me that Vogue only have a 'token' model cover these days.
Nevertheless, the white shirts and blue skirts are divine!
